[like a daughter] | newburyport, ma

Last night I swear I could feel you
Moving through my room

And I thought you touched my feet
I so wanted it to be true
And in my theater there is a stage
And a footlight you can always step into

I'll wait no more for you like a daughter
That part of our life together is over
But I will wait for you, forever
Like a river...

Happy Birthday My Beautiful Mother.
I hope you are blowing out your candles surrounded by beautiful people and swinging on a swing.
Not a day goes by that you are not close in my thoughts.
You would be so proud of your little granddaughter and namesake Annie Viola, she's thriving.
I miss you Mom. I love you.

{i posted this photo back in May - but i just love it so much it had to be revisisted - 1946ish}

Just beautiful, and I've decided this is my very favorite photo of our mom. I had to get out of bed and come into Southbury to use a computer and connect on her special day...I;ve heard it say a heart breaks to make more room...we must have a whole lotta space in our! Happy Birthday, sweet Ann Degnen Manion, your family keeps you alive in their hearts forever...Ker
