[ever after]

erin and duncan were married this summer. i didn't shoot their wedding but was thrilled when they contacted me to book an "ever after" session. such fun to be with newlyweds who are quite obviously smitted with each other. donned in their wedding finery, no pressure, just a lot of fun....and some cool locations to boot. it was rather chilly out but such troopers they were! i loved this session. i hope you love your photos as much as i do!! wishing you all kinds of happiness in your life together. thanks for the great time.

a beautiful family indeed. i had the pleasure of meeting them at our gorgeous state park for the purpose of shooting some head shots for thomasina and zoe - aren't they adorable?!! but first....a few family pictures. there was lots of energy from these two littles ones and really cute outfit changes!! i may have gotten carried away with the photos but i couldn't stop at just a few! here's a sneak peek at our session!!

let me introduce you to nissa. seriously....isn't she stunning? nissa is an aspiring model, fashion stylist -[move over rachel zoe], writer, ballet dancer, beauty. while shooting her i stopped and said, "nissa...do you know who you look like?" she gave me the look that said "oh here it comes, i've heard this one before"!.....cameron diaz! but so so so much prettier. actually cameron diaz looks just like nissa. take that cameron!
sitting at my computer reviewing our shoot i can honestly say that the images straight out of the camera were incredible. i barely needed to edit anything!! but i did have such fun creating.
did i mention nissa is a senior in high school?!! she's amazing. it was such a pleasure to meet you nissa and your wonderful mom. you were the perfect model and i hope to have another opportunity to have you in front of my lens.

perfect light. perfect location. perfect subject. [j. muse] - for those that know my friend jenni - it's been a long while since we've had an opportunity to shoot together. i loved this session. for so many reasons - perhaps it was the laughs, perhaps it was the sense of the familiar or perhaps because our two little girls were running around laughing and playing. it was a delight. through and through.






























and of course ava and annie. the delightful twins. love them!

i had the pleasure of meeting this adorable family last weekend. nola and neve. two little sisters. it's always hard for a little one to "smile" on command to a total stranger, so it took a bit of time to warm up, but by the end i think we did it.

it was a beautiful fall day - a bit chilly but lovely. the girls had me running everywhere and i had such a blast.

maggie and justin, it was a pleasure to meet you both and thank you for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family.

a lime slice - [girls night]

we had it planned. our night. "no boys momma just girls". bil was to go hiking with his friend and annie and i were to be alone from early saturday morning until sunday evening. we had plans. big plans. but alas, what is a life lesson if you don't have disappointment. bil's friend kyle got sick and let's face it, nobody wants to hike and camp in the cold when you are sick. doesn't sound like much fun to me. so our "girls weekend" would have to be postponed. but how could i disappoint my little one. all she wanted to do was make popcorn, put on pj's, hop into my bed and watch icarly. i mean come on she's only three - ok three and a half - but really?!! icarly?! yup.. it is her absolute favorite show. she lives for icarly. she knows the words to the opening song. and when she stands in front of the tv wiggling her cute little booty singing, i get a glimpse of the young lady she is going to be. she knows all the characters first AND last names...... even the doorman! so we got in our pj's, with a big bowl of hot popcorn (oh we threw in a few m&m's for good measure) and we watched icarly. she wouldn't even look at the camera so i could get one lousy shot to document our "girls night" - she is so intently watching "her" show! she didn't even make it to the end....she was out like a light, with a few kernals of popcorn strewn about. we had fun. snuggling. eating our popcorn. just being together. i remember when saturday nights for me were about going out for cocktails with my friends when i was in my 20's and in my 30's they were about what outfit you would wear to go out for cocktails and here i am in my 40's and there is no place i would rather be than snuggled up with annie, any day of the week.

the bff's had their "annual" apple picking day this week. look how much they've grown from last year. annie is often found chatting with ava on her phone. very intense conversations. "oh yes ava you can come over and we'll play together and eat pizza". many many plans are made on her cinderella telly.
i love these two. so sweet. such wonderful little lights. so innocent yet so very cool. it's true - they are two of the coolest girls i know! right jenni?!! we're in for it in the teenage years. we've got to stick together or we'll be in trouble!! :)
