it could be as simple as a conversation, a laugh, a giggle, a frown, a silly face - all from my darling annie. my heart is so full of love for my child. we spent some time just talking this past weekend - i love these moments - a little peanut butter on her face, drinking her chocolate milk, sitting on the floor, talking about life, she has a lot to say for a 3 year old, really she does! she can go from silence to laughter in a matter of 10 seconds!

the best way to break out of your photog shell is to get out there and just shoot. street photography can be so inspiring. this shot was taken last summer actually, but i really like it and because the shutter sisters told me so!!

this town i live in is really unique. we have the ocean, the beach, the river,... and an incredible eclectic community of artists and musicians, photographers and writers, dreamers and doers. i was noticing while editing some photos recently, the funky little jewels that caught my eye just by going for a walk to enjoy the weather. so much uniqueness is found in yards. people are clever. i love how someone chooses to express themselves through art or whimsy, nature and inspiration. here's a few shots from the yards of those who have something to say. i don't know who you are - but i certainly thank you for making my walk that much more interesting!
