"And I promise you I will never again try to turn myself into a stylish dandy" said Dandelion as he sipped his tea. "From now on I'll always be just plain me!"
{Dandelion by Don Freeman}
i loved this book as a child. i am so happy that annie now loves it too. we read it all the time. a good life lesson to always be yourself!
[i love both of the processing here - couldn't decide]
see you, me and julio down by the schoolyard.......for whatever reason that paul simon song came to my mind while looking at these photos. this is annie's favorite place to be. after dinner we hurry around the corner to the schoolyard to play on the swings, slide down the slides (best slides around i think) and try really hard to make those monkey bars work for us - {bil and i laugh at my lack of strength - heck i used to be able to work those bars - + there will be no photos of that attempt} bil teaches in boston two nights a week so on those nights us girls hang out - and the obvious choice is the schoolyard. until the sun goes to sleep.
oh p.s. - i just love when annie dresses herself.
{my favorite shot - tough school girl meets toddler girl}
{yes mom likes to swing. see annie on the slide}
{yes annie you are taller than that fire hydrant!}
annie's last dance class before summer vacation starts. so sweet. these little 3 and 4 year olds flitting about. no care in the world. enjoying the moment. we should all feel this free and be this inspired.
Where are those sons of summer now With their wild-haired women in their patchwork gowns Who could laugh the lights away Nights on the beach and bay {c.simon}
the fabulous adrienne, alex and kate. such lovely lovely girls. i had so much fun shooting you and i can't wait until we do it again. you all make a delightful muse!! {a little peek of some favs}
