it's moments like these that remind me how lucky i am to have this little girl. something as simple as going for a walk can turn into a treasured memory. she's so good about indulging my need to snap. snap snap snap. and of course, when she's done.....she's done. the last shot explains that one!!

a lime slice. [my girl]
i had the pleasure to go shooting with my pal mariah gale. an incredible children's photographer. so....while she was shooting annie, i was shooting annie. i'll try to update this post with her shots so you can see the beauty that she captures through her lens. here's a shot of me in action as featured in newburyport today. in the meantime.....here is my beauty.
[and as i'm trying to decide on the "look" of my blog - i have avoided the rounded corners that i have been using lately. honestly....it adds one more long step to the workflow so for this post. i ignore!] feedback always welcome.
annie - a study in black and white.
look at her smile. love it.
that's right annie. work it. own it.
this is my favorite shot of my girl. heavy sigh.
the following shots are processed with "shenanigans" actions by the fab tara leigh!
she finally looked at me. she was zoomed into mariah the whole time!
love that "still baby looking" hand. the bokeh. the light. the sweet light.

[surf's up]!
this was seriously one of the most fun shoots i have done in awhile. what an adorable family. "hey meg, we have a surfing lesson - want to come photograph i t for us?!" um....YES!!!! if i looked as good as jennifer in a wet suit perhaps i would have put one on and joined them but alas......it's behind the lens for me. you never would have known this was their first lesson - every single one of them got up on the board and rode the waves. i was so impressed. the day was beautiful. thanks for asking me to do this chris, jennifer, benjamin, jackson and sam. you are all awesome!! hope you like your sneak peek. hang ten family! [j+i] married....and now they are 3.
take a beautiful blue sky, add the ocean, a lighthouse, a dash of warm sun, family and friends and lots of love and you've got the makings for a beautiful wedding! jasmine and ian said "i do" in front of their family and friends and the beautiful atlantic. this lovely couple became a family this day when ian not only gave a ring to jasmine but a ring to her daughter bailley, now his daughter and i cried. it's hard to click and cry at the same time! it was such a touching moment. - and now they are three.

i wish you three a wonderful life together......happily ever after.
